Overview
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you drive mechanical design and BIM-enabled modelling for data centre projects. You collaborate with cross-border teams to deliver proactive, high‑quality designs and specifications for demanding clients. You will manage work packages, contribute to cost and risk assessments, and foster vendor relationships through testing and commissioning. This role offers global exposure within a multidisciplinary Next Haskoning team and opportunities to optimise internal processes. You’ll help shape scalable, sustainable data centre solutions.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage and execute mechanical work packages across multiple projects
- Identify scope, design and management objectives, ensuring documentation quality and stakeholder information flow
- Author technical specifications and reports
- Collaborate with project manager on cost and risk assessment preparations/reviews
- Cultivate vendor relationships to support tender specs and represent Haskoning in testing and commissioning activities
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Min 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and/or installation
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard design and construction practices
- Comprehensive understanding of clients' daily operational needs
- Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English and German
