RTDynamics | Fully Remote within the EU | Full-time or Part-time | Permanent
About RTDynamics RTDynamics is a German software company specializing in high-fidelity, physics-based simulation solutions for aerospace and defense.
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Rosenheim, Germany, we are a small, specialized, and entrepreneurial team serving an international customer base across Europe, the US, and Asia.
Our products are used by organizations working across military training and simulation, aerospace, defense, and engineering, including programs within the broader NATO and European defense ecosystem.
We work closely with customers, technology partners, and major industry organizations to deliver advanced simulation capabilities for demanding applications.
As European defense cooperation and investment continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced professional to strengthen our involvement in European defense programs, including EU and European Defence Fund (EDF) projects.
The Role As Program Manager – Defense & EU Projects, you will act as a key interface between RTDynamics, our customers and partners, and our development team.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our involvement in ongoing programs is well coordinated, that customer and partner needs are clearly communicated internally, and that RTDynamics delivers effectively on its commitments.
At the same time, you will help us identify new EU/EDF projects, partnerships, and business opportunities where RTDynamics' simulation technology can contribute.
This is a 100% remote position within the EU.
There is no office attendance or regular commuting requirement.
Occasional travel within Europe—typically around 1–2 trips per quarter—will be required for project meetings, partner meetings, reviews, conferences, and related activities.
- Your Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact between RTDynamics, customers, partners, and our internal development team.
- Coordinate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure requirements and expectations are clearly understood.
- Track RTDynamics' project objectives, milestones, deliverables, actions, and dependencies.
- Represent RTDynamics in EU and EDF project meetings, partner meetings, technical reviews, and program discussions.
- Coordinate RTDynamics' contributions to ongoing European defense programs and ensure our commitments are followed through.
- Provide management with clear visibility into project status, risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and organizations within the European defense ecosystem.
- Identify and evaluate new EU/EDF projects, partnership opportunities, and other relevant programs.
- Support RTDynamics in positioning its products and capabilities for new European defense initiatives.
- Travel occasionally within the EU for project meetings, reviews, partner meetings, and conferences.
What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with proven experience in military, defense, aerospace, or related programs.
There is no fixed minimum number of years of experience—we value relevant experience, credibility, and a strong understanding of defense programs more than a particular career timeline.
You should have
- Strong experience working in military and/or aerospace projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment.
- The ability to understand different stakeholders' perspectives and translate between customers, partners, management, and developers.
- The ability to represent RTDynamics in a professional and credible manner with customers, partners, and defense organizations.
- Fluent/professional English.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with EU-funded projects, particularly the European Defence Fund (EDF).
- Existing knowledge of the European defense ecosystem and its major organizations, programs, and stakeholders.
- Experience working with international project partners and consortiums.
- German language skills.
- Additional European languages.
A military background or education at a military university is highly desirable, but no specific degree is required.
Relevant professional experience is what matters most.
Who This Role Could Suit This position may be particularly attractive to an experienced defense professional who wants to continue contributing to the industry in a more flexible capacity.
We are open to both full-time candidates and experienced professionals seeking part-time work, including former military personnel and retired professionals who have strong networks and substantial experience in defense or aerospace programs.
What Success Looks Like In this role, you will help RTDynamics
- Build stronger and more productive relationships with customers and European defense partners.
- Provide customers and partners with a clear, responsive, and reliable point of contact.
- Successfully coordinate RTDynamics' contributions to ongoing EU/EDF programs.
- Identify new EU/EDF projects and partnership opportunities.
- Strengthen RTDynamics' position and relationships within the European defense ecosystem.
- Working Arrangement
- 100% remote — anywhere within the EU
- No office attendance or regular commuting
- Permanent position
- Full-time or part-time
- Occasional European travel, typically 1–2 trips per quarter
- Reports directly to the Managing Director / CEO
If you have substantial experience in defense or aerospace programs and are looking for a role where you can use that experience, network, and understanding of the European defense landscape to help shape RTDynamics' future programs, we would like to hear from you.
