Overview
In this role you drive strategic procurement to secure timely, high-quality materials for complex aerospace components. You’ll work within the Supply Chain team to shape sourcing strategy, optimize costs, and foster reliable supplier partnerships. You’ll tackle global markets, ensure material availability, and contribute to product development with a design-to-cost mindset. This position offers hands-on impact in a high-tech, international environment with meaningful scope across projects and milestones.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Issue RFQs for prototype, flight, serial parts, materials, and production tooling
- Challenge BOMs and supplier portfolios to optimize sourcing
- Source suppliers based on technical, economic, and quality criteria
- Support cost calculations for customer offers and provide material cost overviews
- Clarify technical feasibility with suppliers and propose alternative solutions (design to cost)
- Negotiate prices and contract terms; establish procurement contracts
- Continuously optimize total cost of ownership and drive savings
- Represent purchasing interests in product development (BOM, drawings, cost targets)
- Ensure externally sourced BOM parts and jigs align with project milestones
- Identify deviations (cost, time, quality) and implement countermeasures
- Maintain ERP procurement data and ensure sourcing complies with rules
- Issue and follow up on orders (in coordination with Purchasers/Buyers)
- Participate in supplier qualification and development; address quality claims
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 3+ years of procurement experience
- Strong understanding of procurement tools and methods
- Experience in global sourcing and strong technical understanding
- Focus on cost and quality with reliable delivery
- Good negotiation skills and results-driven
- Reliable with strict adherence to deadlines
- Experience in project environments and cross-functional teams
- Experience with SAP ERP and procurement administration
- Space or aerospace exposure is advantageous
- Fluent in English and German
- Lean/Six Sigma education or experience is a plus
