Test Engineer Environmental Testing (all genders)

Overview In this role you will plan, execute and report on environmental tests for space hardware, supporting both internal and external customers. You join a small Environmental Testing team in Zurich to validate hardware across vibration, shock, thermal, climatic and related environments. You will work closely with design and development teams to ensure tests meet technical requirements, schedules and budgets. The position offers hands-on testing with state-of-the-art facilities and a direct impact on spacecraft qualification. Leistungen / Benefits public transport contributions fully paid maternity and paternity leave training, development and career growth state-of-the-art test facilities access Verantwortungsbereiche Plan, prepare and perform environmental simulation tests and prepare test reports Operate Test Center facilities including vibration, shock, pyroshock, centrifuge, temperature and climatic chambers, and TVAC Develop and perform measurement tasks (acceleration, load, material strain, distance, high-speed video trajectory) Create test concepts and methods in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders Advise on technical feasibility, requirements, scope, costs, schedules Prepare quotations for mechanical testing per applicable requirements (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) Plan and coordinate use of test equipment and facilities Process and analyze measurement data and present results clearly Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment; perform maintenance and repairs on facilities and sensors Prepare and maintain test documentation per quality and management systems Zentrale Anforderungen Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or comparable technical field, or TS/HF in technical profession Practical experience with physical testing and measurement technologies Good understanding of measurement technology, electronics/control technology and physics Good computer skills, esp.
