Overview
As a System Engineer at Beyond Gravity, you oversee Systems Engineering across study, development, qualification and production to ensure product qualification. You are the technical owner for critical subsystems (e.g., separation mechanism) within the portfolio. You lead technical activities, proposals, trade studies and risk management, coordinating with customers and suppliers. You support production and represent engineering in negotiations, delivering high-impact aerospace solutions. You join a global, cross-functional team shaping future launcher structures.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead and coordinate technical activities as engineering owner to meet requirements within budget and schedule
- Manage technical proposals, quotations, concept work and trade studies
- Drive process and product continuous improvements
- Propose market-oriented initiatives to enhance technologies and production processes
- Break down technical requirements into subsystems and generate specifications for customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Plan technical work packages through the Design Development and Verification Plan
- Write and review technical specifications, project deliverables, test plans, drawings, and change documents
- Conduct continuous technical risk management and perform root cause analyses
- Provide engineering support to production
- Represent engineering in negotiations and reviews with customers, suppliers or subcontractors; act as engineering single point of contact for customers
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or similar
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in System Engineering or Technical Project Management in space/aerospace
- Proven expertise with composites systems or mechanisms
- Experience in architecture, design and development of aerospace systems against performance, cost and reliability targets
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Professional working proficiency in English; German a plus; strong writing and communication skills
