Reporting Specialist (ServiceNow) (d/f/m)

Location(s): RWE Supply & Trading GmbH. To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent.

Your Role

As a Reporting Specialist, you turn data into actionable insights. You partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, design intuitive reporting solutions, and deliver scalable, high-quality analytics using modern cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring clear definitions of KPIs and metrics.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports with strong focus on UX, storytelling, and usability.
  • Build and maintain robust data models integrating multiple data sources (e.g., ServiceNow, etc.) using SQL and cloud technologies.
  • Develop and operate end-to-end data pipelines across the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (e.g., OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Science, etc.).
  • Leverage Microsoft Fabric capabilities (Power BI, Data Engineering, Copilot and AI-driven capabilities for automation and insights) for performant and scalable reporting.
  • Apply modern analytics techniques, including AI-assisted insights, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics where relevant.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance in alignment with enterprise standards and regulations.
  • Manage the full reporting lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, including conducting design reviews and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Enable self-service BI and promote data literacy across the organization (training, documentation, best practices).
  • Automate reporting processes using tools such as Power Automate and integrate reporting into business workflows.

Profile

  • Strong expertise in data visualization and user-centric dashboard design.
  • Proven experience gathering and refining reporting requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Objectives Key Result (OKR) methodologies and experience translating strategic objectives into measurable performance indicators and reporting structures.
  • Solid background in data modelling and SQL, including working with complex, multi-source datasets.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Power BI, Data Engineering, Data Science, etc.).
  • Experience integrating data from enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of data architectures and cloud‑based analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise data structures (e.g., CMDB).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in English and German.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or Azure Data (e.g., PL-300, DP-600).
  • Hands‑on experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI‑driven BI solutions.
  • Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Exposure to modern data architectures (Data Mesh, event‑driven systems).
