For the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire inGeneva a dynamic and motivatedPower Electronics RD Engineer. /ph3Main tasks: /h3ulliInvestigate emerging power electronics technologies for railway, DC microgrid, /liliindustrial, energy, and advanced electrification applications. /liliSupport feasibility studies, proof-of-concept developments, and innovation /liliprojects. /liliDevelop simulation models and test methodologies. /liliIdentify opportunities for performance improvements and cost optimization. /liliContribute to intellectual property generation and technology roadmaps. /liliSupport Business Development in identifying new applications for fast-switching /lilicircuit breakers and defining the corresponding product requirements. /liliDefine and evaluate power semiconductor devices and converter topologies. /liliPerform simulations of switching behavior, losses, thermal performance, and /lilifault scenarios for different topologies. /liliSupport hardware development, laboratory validation, and technology /lilidemonstrators. /liliContribute to design reviews, technical documentation, validation and project milestones. /liliSupport development and improvement of existing HSCB and fast DC protection /liliproducts. /liliAnalyze field issues and propose technical solutions. /liliCooperate with mechanical, thermal, system, and test engineers. /liliSupport industrialization and product maintenance activities when required. /liliSupport the development and maintenance of HSCB electronic hardware, software, Eco-Drive, and coil controller solutions. /li /ululliMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. /liliStrong knowledge of power electronics and power semiconductor switching technologies. /liliExperience with power semiconductor devices, including IGBT, GTO, MOSFET, and SiC technologies. /liliExperience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, LTspice, or equivalent. /liliKnowledge of power electronics laboratory testing and measurement techniques. /liliGood understanding of thermal, electrical, and system-level design considerations. /liliAbility to work within multidisciplinary RD teams. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications: /h3ulliExperience in DC protection systems or circuit breaker technologies. /liliExperience in railway, industrial power systems, renewable energy, e-mobility, or DC microgrid applications. /liliFamiliarity with EMC, insulation coordination, and safety requirements. /liliExperience with control algorithms and embedded control systems. /liliKnowledge of reliability analysis and design-for-manufacturing principles. /li /ulpWe fosterflat hierarchiesanddirect communication, enabling quick decisions and strong collaboration across all levels.
