ph3SAEKI - Manufacturing at software speed /h3 pEurope's defense industrial base cannot respond at the speed modern conflict requires. Legacy suppliers operate on month-long timelines. Tribal knowledge is retiring. Supply chains are fragile. SAEKI is building the operating system for autonomous factories - the infrastructure that lets Europe manufacture mission-critical components at software speed. /p h3The Role /h3 pAs a Computational Geometry Engineer, you own the geometry core of our Manufacturing Intelligence stack - the engine that takes an arbitrary customer CAD model and reasons about how to build it, and then proves that we built it right.br/You own the code that runs in the factory. /p h3What We're Looking For /h3 ul lib5+ years /b building geometry-heavy software in production - CAD/CAM, geometry kernels, feature recognition, CAE/simulation preparation, metrology, or comparable. /li libB-rep and Mesh Depth /b. You think natively in topology and NURBS. Feature recognition, defeaturing, robust booleans, offsetting, surface/surface intersection, healing and repair. You know exactly why floating-point robustness destroys naive implementations - and what to do about it. You have had the opportunity to delve into complex CAD models and are able to assess their quality in both quantitative and qualitative terms (gaps in edge, spikes in loops, tiny elements, twisted surfaces...) and ultimately predict which types of processing might be challenged. /li libKernel Fluency /b. Hands-on with a geometry kernel - Parasolid, OpenCASCADE, ACIS, or equivalent - and the judgment to know which parts can be developed in-house in order to retain full control and IP rights, and which parts too complex (e.g. advanced solvers) should be integrated as 3rd parties. Comfortable with mesh and point-cloud processing (libigl, Open3D, CGAL, PCL) alongside solid modelling. You know well STEP file format and about integration into collaboration interoperability processes. /li libTechnical Excellence /b. Strong command of modern C++ (17+), plus Python for rapid iteration. Rust is welcome. You write and test performant code. /li libManufacturing Instinct /b. Some knowledge of fabrication techniques-casting, stamping, composites, and additive manufacturing-alongside toolsets for evaluating design manufacturability, risk profiles, quality standards, and cost factors. /li libEnd-to-End Ownership /b. Algorithm design through to a shipped, tested, maintained service. /li libFirst Principles Thinker. /b You reason by physics and mathematics, not analogy. When an algorithm fails on a real part, you know whether the bug is in the code, the model, or the assumption. /li libIndustrial Grit /b. You want to stand next to the machine in Germany and watch your output run. The feedback loop between your code and cutting metal is the point. /li libManiacal Urgency /b. Speed is our only edge. You thrive in the "chaos-to-order" phase of a startup. /li libOn-site /b: Ability to work in person at our HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. /li /ul h3What we're not looking for /h3 ul liResearchers who want to publish and hand off. You ship. /li liCAD users. This is a role for people who build the tools, not drive them. /li liEngineers who need a clean spec. The problem is defined by the part, the machine, and the customer - you'll go find it. /li liPeople who treat "it works on the test model" as done. Real customer CAD is broken, degenerate, and adversarial. That is the job. /li liEngineers who are uncomfortable with ambiguity or rapidly changing priorities. /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 ul libMission /b: Rebuild the industrial sovereignty of the West. Your work directly enables production of mission-critical hardware for defense and space. /li libTotal /b bOwnership /b: High-stakes autonomy in your domain. You own both the problems and the solutions - and have the authority to execute. /li libThe /b bEnviron /bbment /b: Access to a 8,000 m² state-of-the-art facility featuring 5-axis CNCs, industrial robots, and industrial 3D printers. Your algorithms run on real hardware from day one. /li libThe /b bTea /bbm /b: "Special Forces" model. Everyone senior, everyone ships. No politics, no bureaucracy. Direct feedback, high standards. /li libCompensation /b: Competitive salary + meaningful equity. /li libLocation /b: Zurich HQ, with occasional time at Factory ONE in Munich. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
