Job Description
Safeguard Europe is in search of a seasoned Product Manager. Responsibilities encompass overseeing internal product development projects, managing interdepartmental tasks related to product development and ensuring products align with company objectives and market needs. Extensive training on our products, their sourcing and compliance will be provided.
Duties
Product Sourcing and Management:
- Oversee internal product development projects, ensuring they align with company objectives and market needs.
- Manage interdepartmental tasks related to product development, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Source and evaluate finished products to align with company standards and market demand.
- Identify and establish relationships with suppliers for components and packaging, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee initial stock control, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient stock rotation.
Product Compliance and Documentation:
- Manage comprehensive product information, ensuring accuracy and relevance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with third-party experts to ensure all products are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain and update Product Technical Files, ensuring they serve as a comprehensive repository for all relevant product documents.
- Engage with suppliers to ensure they provide the necessary documentation for UKCA/CE products.
Audits and Supplier Management:
- Coordinate and oversee external audit compliance processes, including BBA, CE and REACH.
- Vet and assess new suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards and pose minimal risk.
- Lead BBA surveillance visits and certificate reviews, ensuring products remain compliant.
Regulatory Engagement:
- Stay updated with industry regulations, ensuring products are compliant and anticipating changes that might affect the product line.
- Oversee biocides registrations across various jurisdictions, coordinating with product suppliers for submission and maintenance of approvals.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead interdepartmental projects to completion.
- Excellent leadership and coordination skills.
- Experience in product sourcing and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at Senior and Board levels.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and best practices.
- 5 years of experience in product management or a related field.
