Role: Onsite Technician / Helpdesk Field Engineer (Freelance / On-Demand/Fractional Consulting)
We are looking for a candidate based in Kiel- Germany, as this is an onsite role.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure as and when tickets are raised.
- Perform hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
- Handle cabling tasks including installation, termination, labeling, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and hardware issues.
- Coordinate with remote support teams for diagnostics, guidance, and task execution.
- Support data center operations such as patching, racking/stacking, and equipment configuration.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of hardware, networking, cabling, and data center environments.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise technical and cabling tasks.
- Flexibility to work in various environments and availability to respond to tickets on an as‑needed basis.
Note: This is a freelance/on-demand position, ideal for engineers who can be available for ad‑hoc assignments depending on ticket requirements for a certain number of hours per month based on incoming tickets raised by client.
