Safran Passenger Innovations Germany

Located in Gilching, about 23 km (14 mi) south-west of Munich, Safran Passenger Innovations Germany GmbH is home to all connectivity products of the RAVE IFEC system. Before becoming part of SPI, the company was founded in 2002 as TriaGnoSys (TGS), and had its first commercial success with the development of software that enables airline passengers to use their mobile phones and internet during flights. In 2013, Zodiac Aerospace acquired TGS, and the RAVE family grew with a new connectivity component. Today, the SPI team in Germany continues leading the development of wireless, cellular and satellite-based connectivity solutions for aircraft passengers to enable them having the most memorable connected passenger experience. As a high tech innovative company, SPI Germany invests continuously in Research and Technology activities and participates in relevant European and German co-funded programs with the purpose of continuing to push the know-how and expertise of our engineers to the edge of the latest communication technological developments with applicability to the IFEC business.
