Systems Engineer

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer support for the INSCOM G7 Forward Operations Clay Kaserne Germany .

Job Duties:

• Functions as the primary on-site Subject Matter Expert for INSCOM’s Intelligence Architecture to include: Converged Infrastructure (CI) Distributed Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (DPED) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment and Distributed Common Ground System-Army Services.
• Support in troubleshooting and mitigating Intelligence Architecture issues.
• Provides in-depth technical support to assess issues and provide solutions for problems. Capable to provide expert service support through interface with CONUS based engineers for problem resolution or new feature creation. Capable to perform root cause analysis for user problems, through duplication, using product designs, code, or specifications, as necessary.
• Provides technical support for system maintenance, backup and resiliency planning. Identifies and documents operational issues and implements rectified operational solutions.
• Collaborates in a team environment to leverage and coordinate with DoD and contract network engineers and field operations support technicians in Germany, Hawaii, and CONUS. Provides on-site or remote support to troubleshooting efforts outside of Germany but within the global CI DPED, as directed.
• Provides direct support to the INSCOM G7 Forward Liaison forward stationed at Clay Kaserne Germany as a technical source and Project Manager for matters concerning the CI DPED and DCGS.
• Performance is in support of U.S. Armed Forces deployed outside the United States and may require work in dangerous or austere conditions. This is an emergency essential position, with accompanying designation as Contractor Accompanying Armed Forces (CAAF).

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree and (9) nine years of relevant experience; Masters degree and (7) seven years of relevant experience.

Required Security Clearance:

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) and willing to submit to CI polygraph.

Required Skills:

• Experience with DCGS-A
• Experience with Aerial Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR)
• In-depth knowledge of vSphere/ ESXi
• History of strong analytical troubleshooting experience (Tier 2-3)
• In-depth Cybersecurity Experience
