Overview
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you design and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions inside customer environments, enabling multi-agent orchestration for Agentforce. You work in an agile pod with Deployment Strategist and Specialized AI Engineers, linking agents to the broader enterprise tech landscape. You write production code, architect real-time grounding systems, and manage prompts and multi-agent communication. From day one, you deploy autonomous workflows that improve operational outcomes and customer outcomes.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Build, configure, and optimize complex operational workflows using AFO, defining agent reasoning, tool-calling logic, and conditional execution loops
- Implement agent-to-agent communication standards and Model Context Protocol (MCP) for coordinated task hand-offs
- Architect and maintain real-time data grounding infrastructure (RAG, vector databases, knowledge bases)
- Develop and maintain APIs and integration pipelines (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) connecting to Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, SAP/Oracle/NetSuite via MuleSoft or middleware
- Leverage AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Vibes) in daily development to move from design to deployable code
- Create telemetry, ETL/ELT pipelines, and dashboards to monitor agent health and business outcomes
- Serve as a bridge between customer deployments and Salesforce product teams to feed feature roadmaps
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery with at least one production AI, data engineering, or enterprise integration system
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex
- Deep experience with LLM orchestration, prompt tuning, and building RAG pipelines with vector stores and retrievers
- Experience with API design (REST/SOAP/webhooks) and agent protocols (MCP, tool calling, event-driven messaging)
- Expertise in process orchestration and API-led connectivity using MuleSoft or custom middleware to connect with legacy ERPs
- Strong data modeling and schema design understanding; familiarity with asynchronous messaging patterns
- Executive presence and ability to whiteboard architecture with CTOs/VPs while contributing code
- Familiarity with automation platforms (Pega, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, ServiceNow, Appian, Power Platform) and competing AI platforms
- Experience with integrated enterprise apps (Workday, Coupa, Jira, Slack) and deployment infra (Kafka, AWS EventBridge, Azure Service Bus, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Knowledge of data governance tools (Informatica, Collibra, SAP MDG, Reltio) and operational execution platforms (Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Oracle TMS)
- Understanding of security/governance: IAM, OAuth, data privacy, audit logs, permissions, secure execution
- Willingness to travel 25-30% for on-site deployments
