An established international logistics provider is seeking an Air Freight Forwarder (Import & Export) to join its operational team in Frankfurt. This hands-on role handles day-to-day air freight shipments with a focus on high-tech, semiconductor, and time-critical supply chains. Candidates with limited experience but a solid logistics background and a drive to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
File Management: Handle complete air freight import/export files in the Transport Management System (Riege Scope) from booking to final delivery, invoicing, and file closure.
Shipment Coordination: Arrange airline bookings, pickups, terminal handling, customs clearance, and final delivery with truckers, ground handlers, and customs brokers.
Documentation: Issue and verify HAWB, MAWB, pre-alerts, manifests, and customs documentation in line with SOPs and compliance standards.
Operations & Communication: Track flights and milestones, resolve operational delays, and proactively update customers, overseas offices, and partners.
Financial Control: Verify vendor invoices, issue customer billing, and flag operational risks to the Operations Manager.
Requirements
Experience: Initial experience in air freight (import/export) preferred. Motivated junior candidates and recent graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered.
Skills: Knowledge of air freight processes and documentation. Proficiency with forwarding software (Riege Scope is a plus).
Languages: Professional written and spoken German and English (Mandarin is an advantage).
Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proactive communication, and a practical, hands-on mindset.
