Our client, a multinational company headquartered in Fribourg, Switzerland, is searching for the new Head of IT to join and lead the team across locations.
Tasks
- Reporting to the CEO, the Head of IT will ensure that IT delivers a robust and reliable IT infrastructure.
- Provide a fantastic user experience for users internationally.
- Develop and implement department and supplier SLAs.
- Provide expertise and advice at the most senior level on policy and strategy.
- Analyse business requirements of all departments to determine its technology needs.
- Lead and motivate your team.
- Ensure effective people management systems in place, deliver training and progression opportunities, manage business succession needs.
- Provide technical and operational support to the department when required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- Proven hands-on approach to tasks and challenges.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role including management responsibility.
- Good technical understanding of (MS products, VMware, Fortinet, Cisco, Citrix, MSSQL, MS Exchange, SharePoint, Avaya).
- In-depth knowledge of analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
- Sound, general understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, telecommunications.
- Excellent project planning and management skills.
- Fresh and energetic approach, focused on delivering continuous improvement.
- Demonstrable track record in delivering successful large network solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to international travel, approx. 25% (peak times).
- French and English fluent, written and spoken a must.
- This role is open to Swiss/EU/EFTA/holders of a valid and transferable Swiss work permit only.
