To support our fast growing Li-Ion battery business, we are looking for a new member to join our Team in Ismaning (Munich) as
VP Energy Storage Systems (m/f/d)
- The VP Sales Europe for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) will report directly to the European President located in Munich and to the Business Unit CEO in headquarters in Asia.
- The position holder will lead and further build the Sales Team in Europe with headquarters in Munich and existing or planned offices in Italy, France and the UK.
- This position has been newly created as part of the systematic expansion of the company’s business within the fast developing European ESS market. The position is to be filled as soon as possible and will be based in the company’s European headquarters in Munich / Ismaning.
Main Responsibilities
- Expanding and maintaining the existing business relationships and developing new relationships with major European customers and their main decision makers in all relevant functions and across all hierarchy levels. Detailed knowledge and, above all, in-depth understanding of the organization and the decision processes of the respective customer companies is required.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for the European market and defining measures and goals for the subsequent implementation of the strategy.
- Accomplish annual sales & revenue planning including mid-term Sales planning.
- Develop close personal relationships across customer and partner organizations including C-level management to influence on product and project requirements, and successfully negotiate contracts.
- Establishing Channel / Collaboration Partnership in the different application sectors: Residential Supply Partnership (PV Wholesaler/Distributor, PCS Makers) and Commercial/Renewable Integration (New PCS Partnership Development, Regional Business Development)
- EPC Partnership, Renewable Project Developers, Utility, etc.
- Develop new application fields like Off-grid applications and create market entry plans for new regions.
- Executing market intelligence activities including speeches on major industry conferences for ESS.
Requirements
- Work experience: Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in Sales in power generation/transmission or the utility business in general
- Education: university degree in economics or a technical subject; additional MBA or equivalent experience desired
- Existing experience and network in the renewable energy sector is compulsory
- Proven track record in tender sales and successful handling of large projects
- Used to work and actively manage an international matrix organization
- Ample experience in developing a strong understanding of market and competitors, creating winning strategies for projects and actively influencing on customers technological and commercial strategies
- Very experienced in leading direct negotiations with key customers, suppliers, and partners
- Languages: fluency in English, German is an add-on but not mandatory
