Main Responsibilities
Leading global strategy for Global Supply Chain (GSC), including multi‑year strategic planning, GSC annual priorities in line with the Head of GSC's guidance and close collaboration with the GSC leadership team.
Accountable for leading the Global Supply Chain Strategy and Excellence Team (~100 employees), with focus on Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Leadership Development and Driving High Performance / Outcomes.
Developing capabilities, processes and standards from design into implementation, monitoring and adherence assurance, bringing an outside‑in perspective and benchmarking.
Implementation of global change programmes in line with Manufacturing & Supply and company strategy.
Leading the Global Supply Chain Strategy and Excellence organization by leveraging the following functions within the GSC Strategy & Excellence:
Change Management /PMO:
Oversees GSC change programmes (UnleaSC, for example) ensuring rollout as defined by the strategic transformation plan.
Supply Chain Planning Excellence:
Ensure best‑in‑class process design, evolution, roll‑out, audit and adherence in the areas of IBP, demand and supply planning. Provide E2E visibility from market to suppliers.
Customer Fulfilment Excellence:
Ensure best‑in‑class process design, evolution, roll‑out, audit and adherence in the areas of sustainable network/logistics and customer care.
Global Supply Chain Analytics:
Build and deliver the data and analytics strategy, deploy innovation including Agentic AI and new technologies at scale.
SMS2.0 Flow & Supply Ecosystem:
Ensure rollout and implementation of Flow and Supply ecosystem as per agreed multi‑year roadmap to engrave SC standards into the manufacturing sites DNA to achieve next‑level process excellence and business outcomes.
Projects & Business Excellence:
Manage the project portfolio management process for Global Supply Chain. Drive successful rollout of key global transformational projects. Ensure aligned implementation of global projects and leverage best practices sharing. Drive the implementation of Digital Tools to enable E2E Visibility, Collaboration, and Innovation.
Dimension & Scope Global role leading Strategy & Excellence for Global Supply Chain, working across all areas of Supply Chain: Market Supply Chains, Supply Planning, Logistics, GBU Supply Chains and Transformation.
Leads a team of ~100 with 8 direct reports leading on topics including: Change Management & Communications, Supply chain Planning Excellence, Customer Fulfilment Excellence, Global Supply Chain Analytics, SMS2.0 Flow & Supply Ecosystem and Projects & Business Excellence.
Level of complexity Leads a team of ~100 under Strategy and Excellence who provide leadership across a range of topics to develop and improve the quality of Supply Chain practices / processes / technology at Sanofi. In addition, the role holder liaises with Leadership Team colleagues in Global Supply Chain to ensure effective collaboration with Global Business Units, Global Supply Planning, Logistics and Market Supply Chains.

The Manufacturing & Supply themes of Standardisation, Simplification and Digitalisation are critical in this role, as we seek for Common Standard and to maximise the deployment of new Technology in Global Supply Chain.

About you
Seasoned and pragmatic Supply Chain leader, with a strong background in leading strategic or operational function/s at regional or global level in Supply Chain.
In‑depth understanding of end‑to‑end Supply Chain is a prerequisite.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive Transformation and Innovation and to influence stakeholders.
Ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and deliver short, medium‑ and long‑term strategies.
Ability to translate operational vision into strategy, excellence and performance.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate & inspire at all levels (including ExCom‑level) across the matrix structure.
High levels of emotional intelligence and business integrity.
