Santiago Calatrava seeks experienced STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS to work on unusual and demanding international building and bridge projects in our Head Office in Zurich.
Tasks
- Structural design in building and bridge construction throughout all phases of design
- Technical project management
- Development of structural concepts in reinforced concrete, steel and timber construction
- Coordination of construction drawings
- Coordination with other disciplines and specialists
- Preparation of the structural reports and tender documentation
- Presentation of the planning results
- Dependent on the applicant’s profile: project management and client / stakeholder management
Requirements
- University Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience (post graduate)
- Chartered, Professional Engineer or equivalent status (or working towards such an accreditation)
- Experience on medium/large scale building, bridge or other infrastructure projects preferably from Concept design through to Construction on site
- Experience coordinating with other consultants
- Experience in FEM modelling software. Candidates with experience using Sofistik, SAP2000 or Cubus software suites will be treated preferentially.
- Fluent in English and/or German. Other languages are considered a plus.
- You are organised and efficient. You are able to work independently as well as part of a team. You have great communication skills.
- EU or Swiss Nationality or otherwise eligible for employment in Switzerland
