What you'll do

As a Cloud Service Development Expert (f/m/d), you will be working in an innovative cloud environment and be an essential part of a diverse team alongside experienced colleagues and early talents. You will evolve the SAP Business Technology Platform by driving end-to-end development of infrastructure services which are fundamental components of SAP and customer applications, as well as part of the event integration and enablement strategy at SAP. If you are interested in cloud service development based on cutting-edge technology, such as Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, and use cloud tooling, such as Dynatrace or Prometheus, you will find an inspiring and professional environment for your learning and growth. You will cover the full agile development cycle and participate in:

• requirements discussions and backlog refinements
• design & implementation decisions
• demoing your work during regular review meetings
• deploying, supporting & maintaining the solution
• researching and prototyping alternative approaches and new technologies
• taking ownership for development components

What you bring

You should have an open and team-oriented mindset and be willing to share your broad knowledge and experience. Besides, you should bring a:

• Good degree in computer science or a related subject (such as business informatics, informatics, engineering) with 8 years of experience in cloud-native development and cloud computing (CF / K8S)
• Very good knowledge and implementation practice in Go or Python
• Familiar with CI/CD and related tools and concepts
• Willingness to lead complex technical tasks and projects in changing environments
• Knowledge in building eventing/messaging-based solutions and a general interest in distributed systems is beneficial
• Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written; German language skills are beneficial

You should bring a hands-on working style and passion for agile cloud development. We emphasize teamwork and a trust-based working model. Collaboration with other teams in an international environment will be a regular part of your work.
