YOUR FUTURE ROLE
SAP’s Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Procurement Marketing. As a pivotal member of our strategic procurement team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and optimizing operational efficiency. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating strong collaborations and partnerships with stakeholders across our ecosystem to support SAP’s ambitious growth objectives.

- Propel the GPO’s transformation into a strategic business partner.
- Collaborate closely with Lines of Business to support their objectives.
- Develop and align category strategies with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Implement and execute these strategies in partnership with teams across SAP.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, leveraging their innovative capabilities.
- Enhance supplier management practices and lead contract negotiations to secure optimal value for SAP.
- Drive initiatives focused on cost savings and efficiency enhancements within the category.
- Conduct internal and external research on digital transformation and industry best practices.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities that deliver value to the business.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and innovations within the marketing category.
YOUR PROFILE
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills to nurture talent and simplify processes.
- Strong expertise in procurement coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Advanced negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
- Extensive experience in legal and contracting processes.
- A university degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Fluent English language skills are essential.
- 5+ years of experience in a procurement or marketing role, with a focus on category management, preferably within the designated marketing categories.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a leadership position, ideally in a multinational environment.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Reporting directly to the Vice President of General Procurement, you will lead a dedicated team of procurement professionals, including Category Managers and Category Buyers. Your responsibilities will encompass various Marketing sub-categories such as Advertising & Brand Management, Events, Market Research, Digital & Direct Marketing, and Sponsorships, collectively managing a global spend of €700 million.
