We’re on the lookout for a
Manager: Utilities to ensure that the plant meets budgeted output, optimises plant efficiency, manages VP & Fixed costs, maintenance planning and SHE performance by leading and managing engineering/maintenance activities and operations activities.
Responsibilities
- Continually seek opportunities for the enhancement of the productivity and quality by applying TPM and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Plan the plant operations to ensure the optimum utilisation of all resources.
- Plan and manage shut and maintenance plans within the section.
- Initiate and implement engineering and maintenance standards and procedures.
- Manage the plant operations to ensure the optimum utilisation of all resources.
- Manage the shut process for effective execution.
- Review, initiate and implement BOP standards and procedures.
- Drive and mobilise the shift team and MDT to achieve OEE targets.
- Investigate and prevent CSR's.
- Ensure the correct items are in stock to mitigate production risks.
- Set goals and appraise immediate subordinates.
- Ensure competency of all subordinates through adequate training, assessments and coaching.
- Coordinate and engage the MDT — prioritise work amongst all disciplines.
- Manage risks and ensure alignment between disciplines, ensuring investigations are completed timeously.
- Ensure that reoccurrences of incidents are prevented and conduct RCAs and incidental work.
- Effective communication to all shifts (strategy formulation, team goals, training plans & day‑to‑day interventions).
- Implement changes as and when required.
Qualifications
- BSc Degree or B-Tech or equivalent
- GCC Factories – Advantageous.
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience, of which 3 years working on Boiler operations/maintenance.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.
