Overview

Software Engineer Process Automation (x|f|m) – Hybrid — For the Integration Engineering & Deployment team, we are looking for a Software Engineer – Process Automation (x|f|m) to join Sartorius Stedim Systems GmbH. In this role, you will develop intelligent recipe solutions, integrate new systems, and provide technical support for customer projects – all within the regulated environment of the bioprocess industry. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model: partly remote and on-site in Guxhagen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure recipes within our automation platform Biobrain; supervise to control complex bioprocess workflows
• Orchestrate processes such as Pionic Spin and other advanced workflows to increase production efficiency
• Design and implement customized recipe solutions tailored to specific customer requirements and technical conditions
• Deliver trainings for process developers, power users, and customized recipe implementations
• Integrate new devices and systems into the existing Biobrain infrastructure, considering interfaces and network requirements
• Support production optimization through targeted analysis and refinement of existing recipe structures
• Act as a technical counterpart in customer projects with direct communication and collaboration
• Support validation and documentation processes in compliance with regulatory requirements

What will convince us

• Degree in Information Technology, Automation Engineering, or System Integration (Bachelor/Master) or certified technician with extensive professional experience
• Solid knowledge of IT networking, Microsoft server and client operating systems, SAP (PP, COOIS), and SQL/Access databases
• Experience in qualification and validation of computer systems (IQ, OQ) and GMP-compliant documentation
• Understanding of control engineering and process workflows in USP/DSP environments
• Business fluent in English; German is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, sense of responsibility, and efficiency
• Structured and independent working style with a high standard of quality
• Team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
