If creating innovative communication formats to engage diverse target groups and stakeholders comes naturally to you, if you’re a versatile professional, combining various tools with curiosity and a passion for integrated communication, this role is for you!

While focusing on the German market, you’ll contribute to the global marketing and communications organization. You will report to the Head of Communications.

As a Communications Specialist, you will:

  • Regularly generate, adapt, coordinate, and publish social media content for our corporate social media channels in the local language, including analyzing and measuring success.
  • Support journalists and influencers in collaboration with our PR agency, handle media inquiries and press interviews with executives and experts, and prepare media interviews, coordinating appointments, content, and briefings.
  • In consultation with our sales teams, maintain direct and continuous contact with customers and independently develop customer references in text, image, video, and sound.
  • Act as the German-speaking contact person for our global branding, taking care of the local OneVoice rollout for consistent messaging. Support the rollout of our Global Brand Campaign and Corporate Identity Program in local markets, as well as the development of local messages, translations, and transcreation of videos and website texts.
  • Support internal communication, strengthen global messaging, and advise local executives on their communication with media, collaborating closely with the Exec team regarding presentations, messaging, and organization of internal events.
  • Assist experts and marketing in developing customized messaging for the German market that covers current technology topics such as Data & AI, Analytics, and Risk Management.
  • Be part of various cross-divisional, virtual comms teams and ensure that global strategies are successfully implemented in Germany.
  • Manage accurate budgets and project costs together with the communications manager.

Role Competencies:

  • Innovation: Creating novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers (internal or external); experimenting with new ways to solve work problems and seize opportunities that result in unique and differentiated solutions.
  • Collaboration: Working cooperatively with others to help a team or work group achieve its goals.
  • Communication: Conveying information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listening actively to others.
  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.

Work Location: Hybrid role – presence at our Heidelberg office (area of Rheine/Neckar) required at least 2-3 days a week. Full-time role.

Required qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of communications experience – in a tech-oriented company and/or a PR agency preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Coursework in feature and/or news writing, advertising, copywriting, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
  • You’re interested in the future of Data & AI and embrace technology (tools and topics).
  • Target majors include all marketing studies.
  • Fluent in German/English.
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Benefits highlights:
