Job Description

In Scalable’s growing Data Department, we are looking for developers for our new team “Data Integration & Management”. The team has a two‑fold mission: bring data products (e.g., machine‑learning models) into production and provide software solutions that enable smooth implementation of regulatory data‑related requirements (e.g., automated data‑protection data deletions) in the Engineering Department. This team serves as an essential bridge between data teams, other engineering teams, business and legal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as an engineer in an agile team of backend and full‑stack engineers, collaborating with highly ambitious colleagues in our growing data department.
• Work closely together with data scientists, data engineers and other engineering teams.
• Bring data products to production and create real business value.
• Develop software solutions for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements around data for the Engineering Department (e.g., automated data‑protection data deletions).
• Utilise cutting‑edge technologies and participate in modern software development practices (agile teams, continuous integration and deployment, test automation, cloud‑based infrastructure and tooling).
• Write clean, testable, maintainable and well‑documented code with a strong focus on security.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or a similar field.
• Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin – SpringBoot (backend) and JavaScript, React, Node (frontend); Python is a plus.
• Experience developing code and building infrastructure on AWS.
• Experience with complex software projects featuring end‑to‑end ownership and microservices.
• Interest in data projects and data‑driven business applications.
• Experience with Google Tag Manager and Consent Management is a plus.
• Motivation to implement regulatory obligations arising from data‑protection law.
• Strong communication skills that are clear, open and concise; professional proficiency in English.
• Interest in the FinTech industry.
• Positive outlook on life and a sense of humour.
