Schroders' success can be attributed to its diversified business model, spanning different asset classes, client types and geographies. /ppbThe role /b /ppWe are building a modern Finance Data Platform to improve how finance data is sourced, managed and used across the Wealth business. /ppAs a Business Data Analyst, you will investigate finance data, trace calculations, reverse-engineer reporting logic and translate business needs into clear, deliverable requirements. You will work across Finance, Data and Technology teams, using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Excel and AI tools to accelerate analysis, discovery and documentation. /ppThis is a hands-on role focused on understanding how the business operates today, identifying opportunities to improve it and providing the insight and requirements needed to deliver change. /ppYour role is to provide the evidence, analysis and requirements that help shape decisions and support successful delivery. /ppThis role is a limited contract for 6 months, start asap. /ppbWhat you’ll do /b /pulliInvestigate finance data, reporting and process issues, identifying root causes, dependencies and opportunities for improvement. /liliAnalyse and reverse-engineer existing calculations, business rules, data flows and reporting logic from data, code, reports and documentation. /liliWork directly with data using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI and Excel to test assumptions, validate outcomes and answer business questions. /liliUse AI tools to accelerate analysis, discovery, documentation and knowledge capture, applying appropriate judgement to validate outputs. /liliTranslate business needs into clear requirements, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria. /liliFacilitate workshops and collaborate with Finance, Data and Technology stakeholders to resolve ambiguity and reach agreed outcomes. /liliSupport delivery by validating data products, calculations and reporting capabilities against agreed requirements. /li /ulpbThe knowledge, experience and qualifications you need /b /pulliExperience in business analysis, data analysis or a similar analytical role. /liliExperience delivering complex data, reporting, analytics or platform change initiatives. /liliStrong practical experience using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI and Excel to analyse data and understand reporting logic. /liliAbility to work directly with datasets, data models and calculations without relying solely on technical teams. /liliPractical experience using AI tools to support analysis, research, documentation and problem solving. /liliStrong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills. /liliStrong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills. /liliExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to create structure from ambiguity and challenge assumptions constructively. /liliClear written and verbal communication across both business and technical audiences. /li /ulpbThe knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help /b /pulliWealth Management, Asset Management or Financial Services experience. /liliExperience working with cloud data platforms, data warehouses or modern data architectures. /liliUnderstanding of data quality, lineage, governance and controlled change processes. /liliExperience analysing Power BI semantic models and measures. /li /ulpbWhat you’ll bring /b /ppYou will be curious, analytical and comfortable working through complexity and ambiguity.
