Animal protection starts in the classroom
The Swiss Animal Protection (PSA) is the umbrella association of 70 animal protection organisations from all linguistic regions of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. As the largest national animal protection organisation, we are passionately committed on a scientifically founded basis to the welfare of companion, wild, farm and laboratory animals.
To strengthen our team, we are looking from 1 September 2026 or by agreement for a
committed and experienced teacher specialised in animal protection topics, at 30%,
for the canton of Geneva, with flexible intervention in the cantons of Vaud, Neuchâtel and Fribourg.
Your contribution to effective animal protection work
- You work independently in classes (cycle 1 and cycle 2) and convey age-appropriate knowledge about companion, farm and wild animals - You raise awareness among children and young people about animal protection topics and encourage respectful and responsible behaviour towards animals through varied methodological and didactic approaches - You assist the team in developing didactic files on animal protection topics (for pupils and teaching staff)
Your profile: expertise and commitment in animal protection
- You have specialised knowledge in the field of animal protection and environmental education. We favour university degrees in biology, environment or natural sciences, agronomy or pedagogy - Continuing education and practical experience in environmental education - You are familiar with the Romandy Curriculum Plan (PER) and the school system in French-speaking Switzerland - Skills in written and oral communication in French and good knowledge of German are mandatory, Italian is an asset - You are mobile and preferably have your own vehicle - Good command of MS365 - Team spirit, commitment and proactivity
