Through its expertise, it shapes public discourse and influences social and political conditions.The department for events focuses on the sensitization of the public, the implementation of awareness-raising actions, as well as conferences for adults and young people throughout Switzerland. It offers a unique approach combining the testimonies and skills of staff members who have experienced exile, the education team, and specialists in the field of asylum.We are looking for an engagement starting February 1st or by agreement for a:Manager (80–90%), member of the executive boardPossibility of co-management Bern / Lausanne (100%)In this captivating management position, you actively participate in decisive decisions for the future of the Swiss Refugee Council (OSAR) and represent its advocacy work at the national level. With your team, you design offers that sensitize the public, transmit knowledge, develop skills, bring together perspectives, and contribute significantly to the development of the organization for a solidary society without discrimination.In this mission, you will take charge of:- The financial, personnel, and conceptual management of the department;- The personnel management and development of the bilingual French-German team, composed of nine people at the Bern and Lausanne sites as well as freelancers and people who have experienced exile;- The innovative, targeted, and needs-based development of the portfolio of offers and the promotion of these offers;- Quality assurance (eduQua);- The management and development of the organization and the OSAR, in your capacity as a member of the executive board.We are looking for this demanding position for an engaged, enterprising personality driven by a desire for action who also meets the following criteria:- A university degree of master's level and several years of professional experience in the education of adults or young people;- Experience in the management and leadership of a team according to agile principles;- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills;- Knowledge of the Swiss asylum field and/or human rights;- Skills in the field of transculturality, diversity management, and the fight against discrimination.You have team spirit and can work autonomously. You communicate openly and convincingly in two languages (German/French).
