Summary

Scope Ratings is looking for an experienced governance and operations professional to join Credit Rating Operations. In this role, you will help maintain and strengthen the policies, procedures, and control frameworks that support our regulatory, governance, and operational resilience obligations. You will work across Conflict of Interest management, KYC/KYS due diligence, Business Continuity Management, and outsourcing oversight, partnering closely with Analytical Teams, Sales Operations, and 2 nd Line Control Functions to ensure governance and operational processes are executed effectively and consistently.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Review, maintain, and help implement policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Support implementation and monitoring of Business Continuity Management (BCM), including continuity plans, testing exercises, recovery procedures, and operational resilience initiatives.
  • Coordinate outsourcing activities and third-party oversight, including due diligence, periodic reviews, monitoring, and governance documentation.
  • Assist internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations by gathering documentation and status tracking of remedial actions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and operational effectiveness.Collaborate with Analytical Teams, Sales Operations, and 2 nd Line Control Functions, as well as other stakeholders to ensure effective execution of governance and operational processes.
  • Contribute to training, onboarding, and awareness initiatives related to governance, procedures, COI, KYC, BCM, and outsourcing requirements.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting activities, regulatory inquiries, inspections, and governance reporting.
  • Coordinate Conflict of Interest (COI) processes, documentation, reviews, and related reporting.
  • Manage KYC/KYS due diligence activities, including document collection, stakeholder coordination, and record maintenance.

Professional & personal qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience in governance, compliance, operational risk, or a similar function within financial services, credit rating agencies, or regulated institutions.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to credit rating agencies (e.g., ESMA, SEC, or other applicable regulatory regimes), or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn sector-specific regulation.
  • Practical experience with at least one of the following: Business Continuity Management, or third-party/outsourcing oversight , Conflict of Interest management, KYC/KYS due diligence, — with willingness and aptitude to develop across all areas.
  • Familiarity with policy and procedure documentation, governance record-keeping, and evidence/audit trail maintenance.
  • Experience supporting or participating in internal audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory examinations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, documentation, or governance materials for varied stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, process-driven approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with GRC tools, workflow systems, or document management platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.

Pay Band: Associate Director - Business Management Minimum: 80,400.00 EUR Maximum: 92,400.00 EUR
