The Review Function (RF) team operates across all sectors covered by Scope Ratings, including Financial Institutions, Corporates, Structured Finance, Project Finance, and Public Finance.
The team serves as an independent control function at the credit rating methodology level.
It is a key stakeholder in monitoring credit developments, assessing credit trends and the performance of Scope’s rating universe, and ensuring that methodologies and related processes remain robust and compliant with regulatory requirements.
The Review Function controls the strength, consistency, and coherence of Scope Ratings’ analytical frameworks.
It acts as a trusted partner to analytical teams and serves as a key interface with Scope Ratings’ Independent Directors and regulatory authorities.
Duties & responsibilities
- Execute and document independent reviews of quantitative tools and models, ensuring a complete and audit-proof record.
- Support the development of new rating methodologies from a control‑function perspective in close collaboration with analytical rating teams and the Quantitative Analysis & Modelling team.
- Develop efficient operational processes to strengthen compliance with regulatory requirements related to the validation, back‑testing, and calibration of methodologies, models, and quantitative tools.
- Produce, analyse, and maintain methodology performance metrics and rating performance statistics.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of governance, quality assurance, and methodological oversight processes.
- Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis, gained within a credit rating agency, bank, asset manager, or fixed‑income investment firm.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, statistical, and problem‑solving skills.
- AI‑native mindset, with programming experience in Python, R, C++, or similar languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional European language is an advantage.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Curious, autonomous, and eager to learn, with strong critical‑thinking and listening skills.

The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority).
Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.
