ph3Qualified Actuary – Property Casualty, Reinsurance /h3 h3Job Description /h3 pThe role is responsible for producing, analyzing, reporting, and explaining quarterly internal model results related to PC underwriting and retrocession risks. The position supports senior and executive management decision-making through capital, risk, and economic performance analytics while contributing to the continuous development of SCOR's risk management framework. The Risk Capital team reports directly to the Group Chief Risk Officer. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pbKey duties and responsibilities /b /p pAssess and monitor PC underwriting and retrocession risks to support adherence to SCOR's risk appetite, leveraging professional expertise, analysis, and risk management experience. /p pApply SCOR’s internal model to evaluate PC underwriting risks. Analyze portfolio exposures, risk concentrations, and diversification effects across business lines, regions, and perils. /p pPerform scenario analyses and stress testing to assess the impact of adverse loss developments, catastrophe events, and changing market conditions on the PC portfolio. /p pContribute to the monitoring and assessment of underwriting and retrocession risk profiles, providing risk insights to support informed decision-making. /p pEnsure compliance with applicable financial regulations, solvency requirements, and internal governance standards. Prepare and deliver risk reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. /p pContribute to the development and enhancement of risk appetite metrics, risk limits, and portfolio steering frameworks for PC underwriting and retrocession risks. /p pCollaborate closely with PC business units, Reserving, and Pricing teams to understand portfolio developments and identify emerging risks. /p pPartner with Risk Modelling teams to support the ongoing enhancement of SCOR’s internal model, drawing on practical experience, portfolio analysis, and business insights. /p h3Qualifications /h3 pRequired Experience Qualification and Education /p pQualified Actuary (SAV, DAV, IFoA) or equivalent qualification and experience /p pPractical experience in using Internal Models (SST, Solvency II) for PC underwriting retrocession risks analysis /p p10 years of experience in PC insurance or reinsurance, ideally covering pricing, reserving, capital modelling or portfolio management. /p pExperience in communicating complex risk and capital metrics to senior stakeholders. /p pProficiency in MS Office and coding (preferred Python). /p pExperienced project leader in an agile, multinational, cross-functional environment /p pExcellent communication skills and fluent in English. /p h3About Us /h3 pAs a leading global reinsurer, SCOR offers its clients a diversified and innovative range of reinsurance and insurance solutions and services to control and manage risk.
