Job description

We are looking for a Product & Quality Assurance Engineer, highly organized and detail-oriented, to join our team to support our client SpaceOpal in Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will typically include but are not limited to:

1. Product Assurance Tasks:
   1. Establishment and Implementation of a Product Assurance and Safety Plan for the Galileo FOC phases including related Statement of Compliances.
   2. Management, with reference to PA aspects, of all subcontractors through the execution of audits/inspections as planned/needed.
   3. Regular progress reporting of the product assurance and safety status, problems and activities.
   4. Implementation and control of quality assurance tasks in accordance with the PA Plan.
   5. Day-by-day surveillance Flight, Mission and Ground Operations preparation and execution activities.
   6. Day-by-day support to Spaceopal activities such as contractual support, document approval and IT tools compliance to process needs.
   7. Monitor and support Operations validation and other activities characterizing interfaces with other segments.
   8. Monitoring of Hosting Services provided at GCC-D and GCC-I.
   9. Participation to LEOP, IOT, IOV campaigns, and any other Special Operation for which OPS would require PA support to ensure a robust process execution.
   10. Management and coordination of a WP6 non-conformance and anomaly control programme.
   11. Management and coordination of WP6 configuration control processes.
   12. Support to Project Management in the overall Risk Management process.
   13. Support to the definition, monitoring and control of critical items.
   14. Participation (or Coordination as needed) and Provision of PA/QA input to all Program Progress, Readiness and Review meetings and boards.
   15. Coordinate lesson learned activities as needed.
2. Quality Management Tasks:
   1. Ensuring that the QM tasks are performed under the provision of an establishment and certified Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001.
   2. Coordinate Spaceopal internal and external Audit as needed.
3. SEC OPS Support Tasks:
   1. Support to SEC OPS activities and boards analogous to PA Management tasks.

This is a full-time position, located at SpaceOpal, Munich, Germany with expected starting date in January 2025.

Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory, as English is the working language.

The variety of the tasks and the scope of the systems to be supported require a high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills together with the ability to effectively cooperate within the team.

Qualifications & Competencies

You shall have an academic degree and experience in the following areas:

1. University Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences.
2. Several years of experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain.
3. Knowledge of Configuration Management and the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 would be an asset.
4. Fluency in written and spoken English.
5. Fluency in standard office automation tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.).
6. Hands-on mentality and systematic, self-organized, able to prioritize way of working.
7. EU citizenship is necessary.
