What does a Service Engineer do?
As a Service Engineer in the Central area of Germany, you’ll be the technical expert responsible for maintaining and installing our equipment fleet across the region. You’ll troubleshoot issues, coordinate service activities, and ensure our systems operate at peak performance. Your role bridges technical excellence and customer satisfaction— delivering hands‑on support, resolving breakdowns, and contributing to project execution and service sales.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Systems & Integration, and Application Engineers to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal equipment utilization. Whether leading a project or supporting installations, your work will directly impact customer productivity and satisfaction.
- Provide post-sale technical support, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery Travel extensively to customer sites across the region
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining complex technical issues in a clear and professional manner
- Apply your technical training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering to resolve issues
- Use your field service experience to maintain and repair equipment, ideally within the food industry Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge, including basic PLC systems
- Work independently while representing Sealed Air with professionalism and technical expertise
Qualifications
- Education: Completed technical training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering Experience: Several years of professional experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial machinery (preferably in the food sector)
- Technical Skills:
- Basic PLC knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Languages:
- Business fluent in German Good command of English

- Class B driving license
- High willingness to travel
