For our client, one of the world’s largest providers of automatic test equipment (ATE), we are looking for a Senior R&D Software Engineer in permanent employment for Duisburg .
Job Description:
- Develop software for next-generation SoC (System on a Chip) test solutions with a focus on the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
- Work closely with other R&D teams, solution architects, and customer experts.
- Analyze complex problems and develop new solutions for cutting-edge technology.
- Work with state-of-the-art tools and development environments to implement new features with high quality.
- Be a self-reliant team member, an accountable contributor and/or owner for the software modules under your care.
- Work in an environment following agile principles.
Requirements:
- Completed studies in computer science or practical experience in a similar field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Java.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and OO development methods and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to independently complete projects, and interact with various stakeholders.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Test Driven Development).
- Enjoy working in a global team while taking personal responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in German is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of GIT, JIRA, Eclipse.
- Good Linux/Unix knowledge.
- Understanding of ICs and electronic measurement technology.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience in customer or cross-functional collaboration.
