On behalf of our well-known client, a German mechanical engineering company in the north of Dresden, we are looking for a System Engineer (m/f/d) Linux and Security on site.

The focus of the job is on system integration and automation in the Linux environment.

System Engineer (m/f/d) Linux and Security in Dresden

Your tasks:

1. Conception, installation and administration of the Linux server landscape
2. Creation and maintenance of automated installations, update and patch management
3. Performance analysis and performance optimization
4. Trouble shooting in the event of malfunctions
5. Documentation update of the existing system landscape
6. Management of backups and ensuring system recoverability

Your qualifications:

1. Completed training as an IT specialist with relevant professional experience
2. Professional experience in the administration of Linux system environments
3. LPIC certifications are advantageous
4. Basic knowledge of database administration
5. Knowledge of common scripting languages and PowerShell would be desirable
6. At least a C1 language level in German and good knowledge of English
