Electrical Schematic Designer- Power Conversion

We are actively seeking an Electrical Schematic Designer to join our team and contribute to our exciting projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Being responsible for drawing electrical diagrams of power converters in the range of 1-10 MW, working as part of an engineering team developing power systems.
2. Participate in Product Development and R&D activities among multiple product categories.
3. Generate manufacturing and assembly documents and bill of materials, maintain product data in our electronic document management system and ERP.
4. Get involved with the sales department through the analysis of needs for prospecting projects, giving time and material cost estimates for development or project execution activities.
5. Collaborate on the supplier qualification activities, working closely with the purchasing department in their interactions with distributors.
6. Participate in the industrialization of new products and maintenance of existing ones by supporting the production department.
7. Autonomously define and select electrical components according to the inputs from the Power Electronics team.

Requirements
Qualifications we are looking for:

1. Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design of electrical diagrams and schematics using CAD tools (SchemELECT, SolidWorks Electrical, SEE Electrical, …).
2. Drawing cable and harness schematics at sub-assembly and cabinet level. Drawing of command-and-control schematics.
3. Experience in the electrical design for medium size power converters, battery storage, renewable energy converters or traction power systems in the range of 1-10 MW.
4. Integration of protections, control systems, semiconductors and measuring devices within power converters.
5. Knowledge of electrical insulation devices, techniques and norms.
6. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (experience in the railway sector is a plus).
7. Solid understanding of electrical distribution principles and their associated protection systems.
8. Fluency in English (B2 or higher); knowledge of additional languages such as French or Spanish is advantageous.
9. Willingness to travel occasionally (about once every two months).
10. A team player who is autonomous, solutions-oriented, and capable of taking technical responsibilities.
