Overview

In this role, you drive product industrialization from development to serial production, collaborating across global teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability. You will support prototype, validation, ramp-up and ongoing production, delivering robust, cost-effective solutions. The position combines hands-on shop-floor guidance with engineering change management and documentation excellence. You will work in the Electrical Safety Solutions unit to safeguard critical infrastructure while advancing innovative, scalable designs.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Perform mechanical design and industrialization activities across product lifecycles
  • Support prototype manufacturing, industrial validation, ramp-up and serial production
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production teams and solve manufacturing issues
  • Propose and implement robust, cost-effective technical solutions
  • Create, update and maintain mechanical drawings, BOMs and documentation using SolidWorks, PLM and Oracle ERP
  • Work with SolidWorks, PLM and Oracle ERP to support industrialization activities
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders and assess impact on manufacturing, inventory and deliveries
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Quality to improve manufacturability and reliability
  • Participate in NCR investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles
  • Assist production operators with technical guidance and problem solving
  • Contribute to continuous product and process improvement
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and traceability of documentation
  • Share knowledge and support Industrialization teams worldwide

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years in mechanical design, industrialization or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience supporting production, prototype validation and industrialization activities
  • Experience with Engineering Change Management and BOM management
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems
  • Excellent proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle ERP and PLM/PDM systems (Audros is an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, machining, sheet metal and assembly
  • Good understanding of DFM and DFA
  • Engineering Change Management and configuration management knowledge
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and industrial best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Autonomous work style with cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Clear and structured communication

  • Ability to train and support production teams
  • English fluency mandatory and French capability; other languages a plus
