Overview

In this role you will design and validate thermo-mechanical solutions for DC medium-voltage electro-mechanical components used in safety-critical railway and renewable energy applications. You will run multiphysics simulations focused on cooling, develop concepts to certification-ready products, and contribute to industrialization and ongoing product improvements. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to protect infrastructure while advancing innovative engineering. Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Mechanical and thermal design development and validation of DC medium-voltage electro-mechanical components
  • Multiphysics simulations with emphasis on cooling and heat transfer
  • Concept feasibility, finite element analysis, prototyping, validation tests towards certification and launch
  • Industrialization planning and execution, product improvements, and maintenance of existing products

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Master in Mechanical Engineering (or PhD in Mechanical/Energy/Electro-Mechanical)
  • 5+ years as a designer for electromagnetic devices
  • Experience with complex multi-technology systems (thermal, mechanical, electrical, magnetic)
  • Experience testing/validating to international standards is an advantage
  • French or English fluency
  • 3D CAD modelling knowledge (SolidWorks advantageous)
  • COMSOL experience advantageous
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (thermal, multi-physics, stress)
  • Experience in reporting and technical documentation
  • Electro-magnetism knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
