Sector Director at 80%-100%General description As part of the evolution of our organization following the entry into force of the cantonal directive for holders of a license to operate a preschool childcare facility, we are looking for a Sector Director (permanent contract, 80%-100%) responsible for managing an early childhood sector, composed of 5 preschool childcare facilities, and subsidized by the City of Geneva.
Working conditions are those provided for by the Collective Labor Agreement for personnel of early childhood childcare facilities in the City of Geneva.
Mission and responsibilities Reporting directly to the employer Committee, you ensure the institutional coherence of the sector, compliance with contractual commitments, as well as the proper functioning of the facilities and shared services.
You ensure the link with the Early Childhood Service and in particular with its finance, technical, and HR units, and ensure the management and development of the sector.
In this capacity, you support and supervise site management (daycare centers or kindergartens), coordinate teams and shared resources, ensure the implementation of the institutional project, and guarantee compliance with the objectives set by the governance and the subsidizing authority.
You supervise financial and HR activities, lead development projects, and ensure reporting to the City of Geneva.
You support governance bodies in their decision-making and ensure the implementation of decisions in compliance with the legal and contractual framework.
Requirements You hold a higher education degree in a relevant field (management, public administration, human resources, management, or equivalent) and have confirmed experience in management as well as in team leadership.
You have solid skills in steering, financial management, and human resources.
Endowed with excellent communication skills, you demonstrate leadership, analytical skills, decision-making ability, and good resistance to stress.
You have experience in an institution with a public interest mission or in the early childhood sector.
