We are currently supporting an international financial services provider in hiring a Credit Analyst to strengthen their risk management function. The role sits within an internationally oriented team and offers exposure to a broad range of corporate clients, industries, and cross-border transactions.

You will be involved in the full credit lifecycle, including analysis, decision-making, and ongoing portfolio monitoring, while working closely with internal stakeholders across risk, front office, and international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and assess the creditworthiness of domestic and international corporates across various industries
  • Perform financial statement analysis (profitability, liquidity, leverage, cash flow) and prepare internal credit ratings
  • Support the preparation of credit decisions, including investment memos and committee materials
  • Take ownership of credit decisions within defined limits, including mid- to large-ticket exposures
  • Contribute to portfolio monitoring, including identifying risk developments and early warning signals
  • Conduct ad-hoc risk analyses and support portfolio steering activities
  • Maintain and structure credit-relevant data in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and documentation standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across risk, front office, and international teams
  • Support cross-border transactions and alignment with international counterparts
  • Contribute to the improvement of credit processes, tools, and internal frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Initial experience in credit risk, financial analysis, or a related area (e.g. internships or working student roles) is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key credit risk indicators
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Analytical and structured working approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Proactive, reliable, and ownership-driven mindset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in financial markets and risk management
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
