The Role
As an Biofuels Sales Trader, you will work closely with clients across the DACH region, helping them identify and access the right environmental products to meet both regulatory and sustainability objectives.
This is a highly commercial position that combines business development, relationship management and market expertise.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing new client relationships and managing the trading process from origination through to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop a portfolio of clients across environmental and energy markets.
- Generate new business through outbound sales activity, networking and relationship-building.
- Facilitate transactions across a range of environmental products.
- Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions across emissions markets, renewable energy products and environmental certificates.
- Develop long-term relationships with market participants and key decision-makers.
- Monitor market developments and identify commercial opportunities.
- Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
- 1-2+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, brokerage or another client-facing commercial role.
- Previous exposure to energy, commodities, environmental markets or sustainability-related sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable with business development and proactive client outreach.
- Self-motivated, resilient and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent German and English are essential.
- Able to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and client requirements.
