Associate - Private Credit (Frankfurt)
About the Opportunity
A leading mid-market private credit investor is seeking an Associate to join its investment team in Frankfurt. The firm provides bespoke financing solutions to sponsor-backed mid-market companies across the DACH region and wider Europe.
This is an opportunity to join a growing investment platform and gain exposure to the full deal lifecycle, working directly alongside senior investment professionals on the underwriting, execution, and management of private debt investments.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and assess private credit investment opportunities.
- Perform detailed financial modelling, including debt capacity, cash flow and downside case analysis.
- Conduct credit underwriting and financial due diligence.
- Prepare investment committee materials and credit memoranda.
- Support the execution of new transactions from origination through to closing.
- Participate in meetings with sponsors, management teams and advisers.
- Monitor portfolio investments and evaluate ongoing company performance.
- Conduct market and industry research across the DACH region.

Essential Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience within Leveraged Finance or Private Credit.
- Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory.
- Strong financial modelling and credit analysis capabilities.
- Experience analysing leveraged companies and debt transactions.
- Strong academic track record.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to work in a lean investment environment.
- Desire to build a long-term career within private credit investing.
