Support operations and financial oversight with growing responsibility as Group Controller at Selected Group's Swiss office

About the job

Selected Group AG is building a modern, institution-grade platform at the intersection of sustainable infrastructure, circular energy and controlled-environment agriculture across the Nordics. The platform integrates development and operations, fund and asset management, and portfolio execution under one coordinated structure. As Group Controller, based in our Swiss office, you will work closely with the project SPVs and operating companies across Switzerland, Denmark, and Sweden on their financial control and reporting, while also collaborating closely with our Copenhagen office, Selected Group DK, which handles fund management, marketing, investor relations and capital formation.

Key Responsibilities

Group financial control and consolidation

Oversee and coordinate accounting, month-end close, consolidation and statutory audit across entities and SPVs in Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden, coordinating external accountants, administrators, tax advisers and auditors.

Financial reporting and systems

Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for management, boards, investors, and lenders, while driving improvements to finance systems, controls, and automation for efficient, well-documented reporting.

Budgeting and forecasting

Lead the annual budget process, rolling forecasts and variance analysis across the group, projects and operating companies.

SPV, project finance and treasury

Hold financial control over project companies and asset-level data, including development expenditure, capex and project reporting, and maintain visibility over cash, liquidity and intercompany movements across the group.

Fund and investor reporting

Coordinate financial information for fund structures, AIFMs, administrators and investors with the Danish team.

Business partnering and decision support

Work closely with Investment, Project Development and Operations, and provide the CEO and senior stakeholders with clear, commercially relevant analysis on group performance, asset economics, liquidity and financial risk.

You will be joining a growing, cross-border structure, where new opportunities and responsibilities will emerge as we scale. The role calls for someone self-driven, independent and a problem solver by heart.

You will report to the CEO of Selected Group AG, Peter Nielsen.

About Selected Group

Selected Group is a vertically integrated development and investment platform operating at the intersection of energy, food security and controlled‑environment agriculture. We connect industrial waste heat, local food production and institutional capital to build resilient agricultural infrastructure at scale. Since 2021, the platform has grown into a lean, cross-border organisation spanning Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Luxembourg.

The operating model is lean and collaborative. A Switzerland-based headquarters coordinates multi-entity activities across Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Luxembourg, with centralised finance, legal, portfolio operations and reporting delivered to institutional standards.

A key operating principle is to scale through data discipline and automation rather than headcount. Structured data, automated reporting and real-time visibility are intended to link financial performance with operational KPIs across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Group Controller, (Senior) Financial Controller or Finance Manager, ideally from accounting combined with real assets, infrastructure, renewable energy or asset management
  • Hands-on experience with multi-entity accounting, group consolidation, SPV structures and audit coordination
  • You are resourceful and autonomous with the structure and discipline to keep financial details accurate.
  • You are comfortable moving between high-level oversight and operational detail
  • You are experienced in communicating complex financial matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • You are based in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
  • Fluency in English is a requirement
