Join to apply for the Investment Associate – Green Infrastructure & Risk Management role at Selected Group
At Selected Group we are expanding our investment team with one or two new colleagues who will play a central role in evaluating, executing, and managing investments with a focus on investment execution and risk management.
About Selected Group
Founded in Denmark in 2016, Selected Group operates with a global outlook, engaging actively across multiple European markets. The Group specializes in managing alternative investments, with a particular emphasis on real asset classes. A core area of expertise is Green Infrastructure, demonstrated by the RegEnergy Frövi project.
Selected Group combines strong investment capabilities with efficient processes, ensuring effective screening and management of alternative investments. This approach delivers compelling business cases, benefiting both credit partners and investors.
At Selected Group you get the opportunity to join an exciting growth journey, where the goal is to offer investors opportunities within alternative investments in real estate, solar, wind energy, and green infrastructure.
About the role
In this role, you will join a small, entrepreneurial investment team and contribute across the full investment lifecycle. You might come with a background in private equity, project finance, or investment risk. Regardless of your entry point, you will take part in shaping our approach to sustainable investing – from assessing new opportunities to ensuring resilience in our portfolio.
Depending on your profile, your daily work may lean towards deal execution, including financial modelling, due diligence and investment memos, or toward strategic risk management, such as stress testing, risk dashboards and climate-related scenario planning. Ideally, you are interested in both and open to growing across disciplines over time.
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in identifying new investment opportunities, carrying out in-depth analysis, and collaborating on due diligence processes that cover everything from financial and legal matters to ESG and regulatory reviews. Your ability to evaluate complex information and translate these into actionable insights will be essential, whether you are preparing investment memoranda, contributing to board materials, or presenting findings internally.
In addition to transaction work, you will help monitor our existing portfolio, working closely with management teams to track performance, assess risk exposure, and identify value creation opportunities. You will also contribute to strengthening our internal frameworks, tools, and methodologies, particularly as we continue to integrate sustainability and climate considerations into every part of the investment process.
You will be expected to stay up to date on market developments and emerging trends within green infrastructure and sustainable agriculture, and to feed those insights back into our strategic thinking.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following background and mindset:
·2–4 years of relevant experience in private equity, infrastructure, project finance, investment risk, or a related field
·Strong analytical foundation, with experience in financial modelling, valuation, and risk analysis
·Exposure to sustainability and ESG topics, ideally with an understanding of climate-related risk
·A structured thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Comfortable using digital and AI tools to improve workflows and insight generation
·A proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment
·Degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related discipline
What We Offer
We offer a flexible and high-impact role tailored to your strengths, whether they lie in investment execution, risk management, or a combination of both. You will gain exposure to meaningful, real-world investments at the forefront of the green transition and become part of a team that values integrity, intellectual rigor, and long-term impact.
Interested?
We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement listed. What matters most is your motivation to contribute, your analytical mindset, and your willingness to learn.
We are looking forward to hearing from you. To apply, send your CV along with a short cover letter to Gaia Arnaboldi, Head of Investments at
If you have questions regarding the position, you are welcome to reach out.
