You own full commercial responsibility for your accounts, including business development, sales performance, and profitability. By coordinating internal cross-functional teams, you ensure timely execution, alignment with customer requirements, and delivery of value-based solutions. The role is accountable for achieving or exceeding sales and margin targets defined by the Sales Manager, strengthening strategic partnerships, and maintaining superior supplier performance ratings in a competitive and fast-evolving market.
General Responsibilities
• Leads the direct sales process and achieving sales targets
• Responsible for visits to current and potential clients
• Leads the performing of routine account management activities
• Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets
• Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Native German
- Experience with OEM and/or Tier‑1 automotive customers in Germany, engaging at senior levels (Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Program Management)
- Ownership of the automotive business lifecycle: RFQ participation, commercial input to nomination, SOP ramp‑up, series production, EOP phase‑out
- Understanding of long‑cycle automotive sales: platform business, volume commitments, price erosion, indexation, margin management
- Leading cross‑functional internal alignment (Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality)
- Managing commercial negotiations in technical environments, including pricing, change management, recovery actions
- Building and executing strategic account plans for sustainable growth and share‑of‑wallet expansion
- Familiarity with German automotive customer culture and expectations
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer engagement and program execution
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

Basic Salary Range:
74,400.00 EUR - 102,300.00 EUR
The salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation.
