ServiceHunter AG - quitt, quinn
Most CFOs inherit a finance function.
This one gets to build it.
quinn is an app-based, managed payroll and employment-administration service. We run it for private households employing a cleaner, nanny, or caretaker, and for businesses that manage employment relationships at scale. The customer stays the legal employer — quinn registers the employment, runs payroll, and handles social insurance, taxes, and filings on their behalf, automated end to end.
Where everyone else sells software, quinn sells the outcome. We hold the power of attorney for every customer, take decisions, do the work, and take legal responsibility for the result.
The purpose behind it is simple: Fair employment. For all. That means making correct and fair employment simple and accessible for any employer and any employee, in any market quinn enters.
Where we stand
Thousands of clients rely on us. Last year alone, over CHF 200 million ran through our platform. We are at CHF 7 million ARR and growing. The Swiss business is profitable. We have acquired two new businesses in the last twelve months. A hungry team of over 50 people (and 5 dogs) in offices in Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom. And we are raising our next round.
We do not have a finance function yet. We have an external accountant, a signed audit, and a CEO and COO who know exactly what they need to run this company — but cannot build it alone.
That is the opening.
Tasks
What you will own
Everything financial:
- Banking architecture across multiple currencies, countries, and entities. Monthly close that actually closes on time.
- Compliance in multiple jurisdictions via external partners you recruit and manage.
- The financial diligence in our roll-up strategy when we acquire — and the structuring of acquisition financing when deals need to be funded.
- A financial model that investors love to look at. The data room when we raise.
You will report to David (CEO) and work closely with Lad (COO), who owns the P&L and will be your closest counterpart on the operational side. You will present to the board. You will be in the room for every capital allocation decision.
There is no team. There is no process to maintain. There is a blank sheet and a business that is ready to run properly.
The first year
Your first year at quinn is one of the rare opportunities where you get to make every decision that matters. Which tools. Which banks. Which partners. How we report, how we model, how we show up to investors. All of it is yours to design.
You will spend the first months getting under the hood — taking over the books, understanding the gaps, and fixing what needs fixing first. You will build the reporting infrastructure that gives leadership real visibility to steer the company across every product and revenue stream.
You will analyze the first potential merger and acquisition targets and sit in rooms where the financial direction of the company gets decided, and you will be the person with the numbers.
By the end of the year, you will have built something real: a finance function that works, a roll-up strategy that has financial legs, and a leadership team that trusts you completely. Most people at this level spend years waiting for that kind of ownership. Here it happens within months.
Requirements
Who we are looking for
You have been CFO or Head of Finance at a scale-up — a SaaS, marketplace, or tech-enabled services company. You have worked across more than one international market. You are comfortable closing the books yourself, not just reviewing what others produce. You have built financial infrastructure before — not inherited it.
You are equally at home in B2C and B2B — and you understand what it means to manage the unit economics, reporting, and compliance obligations for both within a single business.
You think in MRR, ARR, NRR, CAC payback, and LTV:CAC ratio. You have worked with investors. You understand what a roll-up strategy looks like financially, and you have the accounting basics to back it up. You know the difference between managing a finance function and doing the finance — and you are built for the latter.
Most importantly: You want this. Not a senior finance role at a large company. This one. The blank sheet, the multiple markets, the acquisitions to integrate, the round to prepare, the opportunity. The kind of thing you only get to do once.
The Team
We are a small, fast, direct team. We do not have a lot of process, a lot of hierarchy, or a lot of patience for people who need it. We do have a profitable core business, a clear strategy, an ambitious plan, and five values we actually mean: Be open, Own it, Speak up, Keep it simple, Bias for action
The CFO is one of the most important hires we will make this year. We are not rushing it and we are not filling a seat. We are looking for the person who looks at this and thinks: Finally!
Please apply exclusively via join — other forms of application will not be considered.
