Your mission
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a frontend focus, you work on a technically demanding part of our platform where reliability, security, and smooth user experiences go hand in hand. In doing so, you help create applications that schools and educational institutions across Europe can depend on every day.
What you’ll do
- You design, build, and evolve our product-facing web and mobile applications, delivering polished, performant, and accessible user experiences
- Build and ship cross-platform mobile apps and own the release pipeline (with tooling like Capacitor and Fastlane)
- Build and maintain a consistent UI design system, ensuring our apps meet web accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.2 AA / EN 301 549) so they are usable by everyone
- Drive frontend quality through robust end-to-end and component testing with Playwright and similar frameworks
- Integrate with REST APIs and contribute to the backend services that power the frontend where needed
- Work on production systems with high requirements for availability, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges in a pragmatic way
- Take ownership of technical decisions, drive improvements, and contribute to a strong engineering culture through collaboration and clear communication
What you’ll bring
- Strong professional experience in frontend and fullstack development, with deep hands-on expertise in Vue.js (Vue 3 or similar reactive frameworks) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and shipping cross-platform mobile applications with Capacitor (or similar, e.g. Ionic, React Native), including release tooling such as Fastlane
- Solid experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Vitest/Jest
- Some backend knowledge to work effectively across the stack — REST APIs and relational databases, ideally with PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel
- Familiarity with modern engineering environments and concepts such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Confidence working across functions, taking ownership, and communicating proactively in an international English-speaking environment
- Enthusiasm for AI-first, agent-driven development practices such as spec-driven development
Where you’ll be
This role is based in Hamburg, Berlin, or Koblenz and works in a hybrid setup. You combine flexible remote work with regular onsite presence at one of our hubs, as personal exchange is an important part of how we collaborate, learn, and grow together. Being on site supports close cross-functional collaboration, strong alignment across the group, and a real connection to our culture.
What we offer
- Purpose & Social Impact: At Seven Education, you contribute to shaping the future of education in Europe and help improve the daily work of schools. You can take two paid days per year for volunteer activities.
- Flexibility & Modern Work: Flexible working hours, hybrid models, remote work and workations within the EU, Switzerland and the UK are part of how we work.
- Learning & Development: Dedicated learning time, access to learning platforms, language courses in German and English, and continuous development opportunities support your personal and professional growth.
- Team & Collaboration: You will work in a supportive, collaborative environment that values trust, openness and teamwork. A team-building budget is available for workshops and shared events.
- Ownership & Growth: You will have the opportunity to take responsibility, shape structures and grow with a company that combines a start-up mindset with the ambition to build a leading European software group.
- Time Off & Everyday Perks: 30 days of paid vacation, half-days off on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and dog-friendly offices.
