The Core API Team oversees the platform connecting end-users with back-office systems. You will build the scalable application infrastructure and APIs to deliver content to Joyn customers with high efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
In this position, you work within our hybrid model, \“Highly Remote.\“ You can work mostly remotely within Germany. All relevant information can be found here . The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Please note that travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.
What you can expect in this role
- You develop high-scalable and high-availability micro-services using modern technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Kafka, AWS, GCP, Gitlab, and more.
- You build robust GraphQL queries and REST APIs.
- We work as a team, respect and support each other, practice agile methodologies, and promote excellent engineering and organizational practices.
- You are responsible for running your services in production, continuously identifying and resolving technical debt, quality issues, and gaps in engineering processes.
- You focus on learning, applying, and extending best industry practices to enhance developer experience and delivery speed for the team.
- You follow trends in software and streaming technology, turning learnings into features and improvements that delight our customers.
Your essential experience and education
- You hold a university degree in computer science, information technology, media engineering, or an equivalent field.
- You have several years of experience in API and service architecture design, preferably with GraphQL or related technologies.
- You possess extensive experience with AWS at scale, particularly with auto-scaling and serverless architectures.
- You have significant, proven experience in TypeScript / Node.js; additional languages are a plus.
- You are committed to improving the quality and maintainability of the existing codebase.
