Account Executive — Early-Stage Legal-Tech Startup (Berlin)
Location: Berlin Type: Full-time
About the Company
Our client is a well-funded, early-stage legal-tech startup on a mission to make contracts, compliance, and equity management effortless for startups and SMBs. The team is lean and fast-moving and there is no sales leader in place yet, which means this hire has genuine influence over how the function is built from the ground up.
The Opportunity
This is a rare full-cycle Account Executive role at a company still early enough that one person can meaningfully shape its trajectory. You would own the sales cycle end to end — with a clear line of sight to leading and building out the sales team as the company scales.
The primary market is DACH, with expansion into other European markets on the horizon.
Reporting directly to the CEO means direct exposure to go-to-market strategy and product direction — not sitting several layers removed from the decisions that shape the business.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle: qualification, demos, negotiation, and closing
- Work a strong inbound and event-driven pipeline, while helping build out a new outbound motion
- Partner directly with the CEO on go-to-market strategy and product feedback
- Shape sales process, messaging, and playbooks as an early, high-impact member of the team
- Grow into a leadership role as the team scales — including hiring and managing future team members
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar full-cycle sales role, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Genuine enthusiasm for early-stage environments and building process rather than following one
- Strong communication skills across DACH markets; German and English required.
- A self-starter mentality — confident operating with ambiguity and taking ownership
Compensation & Growth
- Base salary: €60-80k
- Uncapped, performance-based variable with strong accelerators that reward overperformance
- Equity potential after an initial period
- A genuine, near-term path to leading and building the sales team — with no sales leader currently in place, this is not a distant possibility
