Job Description
Supporting and advising customers on regulatory and normative requirements for electrical and electronic products, particularly household appliances and lamps/luminaires.
Managing, coordinating, and ensuring the timely processing of customers‘ test orders.
Being responsible for the professional development of the assigned area (household appliances or lamps/luminaires) and overseeing its development and expansion.
Representing the area at SGS events, trade fairs, and in standardization and expert committees.
Collaborating closely with colleagues from Sales, Key Account Management, and the laboratory.
Maintaining close coordination and regular communication with international laboratories and other locations.
Ensuring technical harmonization between locations and laboratories.
Conducting regular customer and market analyses.
Qualifications
Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Extensive professional experience in inspection and testing, with proven expertise in electrical safety, usability, and related areas within the household appliances and/or lamps/luminaires sector.
Demonstrating authority in customer interactions, with a strong focus on quality and cost efficiency.
Familiarity with retailer programs, along with strong connections to retailers and their sourcing offices.
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Good command of English and a willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
