Job Responsibilities
- Retain assigned top customers and nurture key relationships over time.
- Become a strategic partner and advisor to clients, discovering new opportunities for mutual benefit and supporting growth targets.
- Work closely with various Connectivity & Products locations, business departments, and stakeholders to expand business with significant clients.
- Identify potential new clients within the Softlines industry, develop a network of contacts, research market opportunities, and oversee growth projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop account plans to increase share of wallet, in collaboration with relevant parties, including overseas affiliates.
- Engage in strategic planning, sales management, and prospecting to grow the business.
- Support the implementation of global business strategies to develop new Softline services, such as sustainability, performance clothing, PPE, etc.
- Identify growth opportunities in local testing business in the UK and develop strategies to secure this business.
- Ensure compliance with international reporting requirements and contribute to the international Softline team.
- Participate actively in the Europe Softlines team, sharing market intelligence and contributing to business development.
- Adopt safe behaviors, prioritizing health and safety for yourself, colleagues, and clients.
- Comply with SGS’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and uphold SGS’s Equality & Diversity policy.
Qualifications

- Bachelor\’s degree in business administration, social sciences, sustainability, or related fields.
- Good understanding of the international textiles/garments business, with experience in Softlines markets and related services, industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and business development.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with knowledge of SGS\’s global services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and result-oriented mindset.
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Knowledge of SGS international structures and activities.
- Understanding of SGS Softlines activities.
